Overall Net-Zero Target: Akoya commits to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050. Near-Term Targets: Akoya commits to reduce scope 1, 2 and 3 in-use operational GHG emissions of owned and leased buildings, covering downstream leased assets, 50% per m² by 2030 from a 2023 base year. Akoya also commits to reduce scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services and capital goods 51.6% per m² within the same timeframe. Akoya further commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions from remaining purchased goods and services, fuel- and energy-related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, waste generated in operations, business travel and employee commuting 42% within the same timeframe. Akoya finally commits to install no new fossil fuel equipment that is owned or financially controlled by the company in its buildings portfolios from January 1, 2030. Long-Term Targets: Akoya commits to reduce scope 1, 2 and 3 in-use operational GHG emissions of owned and leased buildings, covering downstream leased assets, 95.4% per m² by 2050 from a 2023 base year. Akoya also commits to reduce scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services and capital goods 97% per m² within the same timeframe. Akoya further commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions from remaining purchased goods and services, fuel- and energy-related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, waste generated in operations, business travel and employee commuting 99.6% within the same timeframe.
